چکیده
The uptake of carbon dioxide and nitrogen gas by zeolite NaKA was studied. A very high ideal CO(2)-over-N(2) selectivity and a high CO(2) capacity were observed at an optimal K(+) content of 17 at.%. NaKA is a very promising adsorbent for CO(2) separation from water-free flue gases.

Structurally designed synthesis of mechanically stable poly(benzoxazine-co-resol)-based porous carbon monoliths and their application as high-performance CO2 capture sorbents.
Porous carbon monoliths with defined multilength scale pore structures, a nitrogen-containing framework, and high mechanical strength were synthesized through a self-assembly of poly(benzoxazine-co-resol) and a carbonization process. Importantly, this synthesis can be easily scaled up to prepare carbon monoliths with identical pore structures. By controlling the reaction conditions, porous carb...

Aluminophosphate monoliths with high CO 2-over-N 2 selectivity and CO 2 capture capacity. Access to the published version may require subscription. a Monoliths of microporous aluminophosphates (AlPO 4-17 and AlPO 4-53) were structured by binder-free pulsed current processing. Such monoliths could be important for carbon capture from flue gas. The AlPO 4-17 and AlPO 4-53 monoliths exhibited a te...
متن کاملApplication of Functionalized Graphene Oxide Nanosheet in Gas Separation
Graphene oxide nanosheet (GONS) can be a suitable membrane for gas separation with high permeability and selectivity. Separation of N2/CO2 using functionalized GONS was investigated by molecular dynamics simulations. The simulated systems were comprised of two types of GONS with a pore in their center, N2 and CO2 molecules. The selectivity and ...
متن کاملCarbon Dioxide Capture on Metal-organic Frameworks with Amide-decorated Pores
CO2 is the main greenhouse gas emitted from the combustion of fossil fuels and is considered a threat in the context of global warming. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) schemes embody a group of technologies for the capture of CO2 from power plants, followed by compression, transport, and permanent storage. Key advances in recent years include the further development of ne...
متن کاملInnovative nano-layered solid sorbents for CO2 capture.
Nano-layered sorbents for CO(2) capture, for the first time, were developed using layer-by-layer nanoassembly. A CO(2)-adsorbing polymer and a strong polyelectrolyte were alternately immobilized within porous particles. The developed sorbents had fast CO(2) adsorption and desorption properties and their CO(2) capture capacity increased with increasing nano-layers of the CO(2)-adsorbing polymer.
